this is a terrible disease that i 1st saw in 1967 as an intern. This is not something a GP or FP or nurse practicioner should ever treat; ever! No amount of antibiotics work. They need to be drained and cleaned up. Many times removal of the whole affected area is necessary whith skin grafting. Patiects: don't waste wour time and ins. co's money going to an ER, they can't help you. Just yesterday I saw a 17 y.o. girl in the office who had it bad,badin both are pits and groins who was seen in a FP's office only by his nurse pract. and treated for 5 months with antibiotic after antibiotic. Went from mild to severe then was referred to me. Know when to hold 'em; know when to fold 'em. |

My Dr told me about this today, all these years I have Been going. To get them removed. At the hospital. And not following up with my Dr, till one day which. Was today, I was told people. Just. Get them and its Normal. From other. People. But I know. Now! I plan. To let my Dr. Know what's going on when it come to My health. Even when I go to the hospital. I will make Sure I follow. Up with. This is the most information I have ever seen regarding this condition. I am 55 female that has thisCURSE As did my mom and sister, ours is in the groin area, I once had a portion of my outer labia removed because the infection was relentless. I believe it showed up with adolescence . It truly is a disgusting and painful condition, as I am writing I am having a flare with a fever to boot! |
